The Independent Imprint

Meek Banks
Publishing

Independent stories. Intimate worlds. Reader-first publishing.

Our Purpose

A publishing home for the story beneath the story.

Meek Banks Publishing exists to create emotionally resonant fiction that respects the complexity of women’s lives and extends the reader experience beyond the final page.

We believe independent publishing can be both artful and strategically designed: beautiful books, meaningful themes, thoughtful companion content, and communities where readers can continue discussing the questions a story leaves behind.

Publishing Principles

What guides every book and reader experience.

01 / DIGNITY

Characters are never content.

Trauma is not used as decoration. The human being remains larger than the harm, failure, secret, or desire at the center of the plot.

02 / RESONANCE

Emotion must be earned.

We pursue the detail, silence, image, and choice that allow the reader to feel—not simply be told what to feel.

03 / BEAUTY

The experience matters.

Cover, typography, digital design, companion content, and community moments should all feel like part of the same literary world.

04 / BELONGING

Readers are participants.

We create places for readers to reflect, respond, gather, and help shape the future of the worlds they love.

What We Create

More than a book on a product page.

The imprint is being built as a small, focused story studio where each title can become a complete reader ecosystem.

01

Original fiction

Character-centered literary and commercial fiction grounded in emotional truth.

02

Companion experiences

Reading guides, character journals, deleted scenes, audio notes, visual worlds, and behind-the-story reflections.

03

Reader communities

Early-reader circles, book clubs, live discussions, feedback loops, and spaces where readers remain connected to characters.

04

Collector storytelling

Special editions, art, keepsakes, and premium objects designed around meaningful symbols from the work.

Current Publishing Focus

Building the catalog carefully.

Meek Banks Publishing is currently focused on works written or developed by Meek Banks, along with selected creative collaborations connected to those story worlds.

The imprint is not currently accepting unsolicited manuscripts. This allows the studio to protect quality, complete its publishing systems, and build a strong reader community around its initial catalog.

Rights, adaptation, distribution, event, and strategic collaboration inquiries are welcome.

IMPRINT PROMISE

Every title should answer three questions.

What will the reader feel?
What will the reader carry?
Where can the relationship continue?
